Brighter Planning Ltd has secured permission for a rear cross-wing extension to a Grade II listed farmhouse in Braintree District. The timber frame suggests the main part of the building dates from the C16. The rear extension will create a new staircase enabling the former line of the cross passage to be reinstated in the historic part of the house. It will also form a new kitchen and dining area using the full height of the extension.
